WINE ENTHUSIAST RATING : Tuilé 2009 – Cuvée des 100 ans 2024 – Terre des Bertrand 2024

RASTEAU Edition des 100 ans 2024: “Sun-kissed and high toned on the nose, the wine has pink grapefruit, violet, and lavender overlaying a concentrated aromatic layer of fresh plum. It is medium bodied, with heady floral tones, fresh acidity and black fruit lingering through the finish followed by a soft kiss of lavender and mocha. Approachable now. — A.C.C.”

RASTEAU Terre des Bertrand 2024: ” Rich and sappy on the nose, the wine delivers black-cherry gastrique and a floral overlay of lavender, violet, and wild thyme. It is elegant and profuse — full bodied yet balanced with ample acidity, as fresh florals and spice awaken on the midpalate, leading into a long finish of freshly pressed black fruit. Delicious and enjoyable now. — A.C.C.”

VIN DOUX NATUREL RASTEAU Tuilé 2009: ” Deep and luscious on the nose, this delivers baked apple, dates, sherry, toffee, praline, mocha, and salt. Great acidity gives a wonderful mouthfeel and length to a palate of apricot, toffee, nougatine, and flaky salt that comes together like dessert in itself. Delicious. — A.C.C.”

LA REVUE DU VIN DE FRANCE – RASTEAU 2021 & 2024

RASTEAU Vieilles Vignes 2021: Juicy yet vibrant, this lively yet ripe wine offers beautifully crafted fruit that is evolving gracefully.

RASTEAU Terre des Bertrand 2024: “Lovely fruity aroma in this fleshy wine—at once soft and energetic—that combines crispness with fruit ripeness.”

JEB DUNNUCK 89-91 2024 Domaine Grand Nicolet Rasteau Terre Des Bertrand

Based on 60% Grenache, 20% Carignan, and 20% Syrah and aged eight months in concrete vats, the 2024 Rasteau Terre Des Bertrand offers spice, blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, pepper, cedary garrigue, and cured meats. It’s medium-bodied and nicely balanced, with ripe tannins and solid length on the finish. It’s well-made, and my money is on it being an outstanding wine. Drink 2026-2030.
